Stealing from Friends

Well, this year we managed to get out a Christmas card (and we even avoided our usual Christmas card-making consternation), but in exhange, I didn't do any holiday baking/sharing/passing out with neigbors, etc. I can just count it as satisfying some universal zero-sum theory or whatever.

But just in case you're still looking for that knock-out Christmas dessert, my friend Lacey (who is probably organized and talented enough to actually do cards and desserts) brought some of these Christmas Cake Truffle Balls over to my house the other day--and they were a hit. So I told her that she had to publish the recipe on her blog so that I could steal it and claim it for my own when I pass them out next year. You should too.

Thanks for the link! I saw a blog a while ago that had all kinds of cute(sy) stuff made out of cake balls and I just thought "those can't taste good," but if you say they do then I've changed my mind!

I just did a little Googling and either I imagined the page I was thinking of or it's well-buried in Google -- but I did find cake balls on lollipop sticks and ones decorated to look like little pumpkins, and some eyeball ones for Halloween.

Thanks for the link to her recipe. It sounds pretty simple even though they look fancy.

Sorry I commented three times on your blog.

It has been so fun to browse your blog! It has been too long and I miss you! No baking or cards for me this year, just way too much chocolate consumed.
