I ran across a long treatise about dealing with lice a little while ago and bookmarked it (hoping I'd never need it) so although you've probably already found lots of similar information, I'm going to check my bookmarks and see if it's any help.
I hope you guys are hanging in there and have gotten rid of the lice. And that is an adorable kitten, and I'm sure you've read that animals don't carry or spread lice, so that's nice to not have to worry about that. :)
Lice! Eeeeek! That brings back horrible memories from childhood. After hearing about the Marostica's ordeal, I've sworn that all heads will be shaved if anyone comes home with lice.
Thanks all for the sympathy and tips with the lice. For sure, the whole ordeal is terrible, and I was so thankful that Olivia's hair wasn't any longer than her chin...or it would have been cut for sure.
We're now two weeks past our initial discovery and we've spent many many hours of washing linens, combing and picking through hair (so disgusting!), and vacuuming every other surface in the house. It's such an enormous time waste I can hardly stand it anymore! And the quarantine we've had to impose on ourselves is driving me crazy as well.
But the good news is, it looks like we've finally beaten the darn thing (fingers crossed!). If this comes back, Pamela, I'll be calling you for sure.
As for our new little kitten....our neighbor's cat had a surprise litter and I think that the lice crazies must have affected my brain because I can't believe that we actually volunteered to adopt one of them. But he is hysterical and I'm starting to understand why there are millions and millions of websites with utterly adorable pictures of kittens doing just the most precious things. He's just so cute that my inner Lennie Small just makes me want to squeeze his little head off (in a good way, of course).

Yikes! We haven't had to deal with lice yet! I hear it's horrible. Sorry. Darling kitten! I hope the cute little thing wasn't the lice culprit?
They are both adorable.

Here's a link.
(Hopefully what she says about special shampoos not working won't have been true for you.)
I hope the lice ordeal is over for you guys. And I would love to hold that kitten, only if you wrap it up in several blankets (hahaha).

My head is itching just from looking at that adorable picture of Isabelle. I'm so sorry! I love your kitten. He/she is adorable.
Did you name her Whitney?
Jennette, If you need any pointers, give me a call. I regret to say that I've got all kinds of expertise battling the disgusting little critters.

But no name yet...suggestions are welcome.
I vote for Lennie Small
