Is this weird?

All of these are currently in our fridge:

I think that we really love ourselves some yogurt around here.

As weird as me buying 4 different kinds of yogurt for the 4 people living in this house?

Yes, if by "weird" you mean "awesome." (I love seeing the contents of people's fridges.)

Wow! That is a lot of yogurt (at first I thought they were just the small ones but I zoomed in and saw they were the biggies)! I love it. Now you need to do a post about how you use the plain yogurt.

When we moved from one of our apartments my mom and brothers came to help out. They got a kick out of how many different kinds of mustard they found in our fridge. Zina's right, fridges are entertaining.

I ran across a cool blog once that featured the contents of peoples fridges from all around the world. It was super cool, but confessing that I found such an obscure blog, means I waste too much time blog surfing which is more embarrassing than having A LOT of yogurt in your fridge. But really that isn't embarrassing so maybe blog surfing isn't embarrassing. Okay this is way too circular of a comment. I think I need to go to bed now and stop blog surfing.

LOL -- I too thought these were the little yogurts, which is why I didn't see what the big deal was until Karen illuminated the matter. Now that I see that it's 24 lbs of yogurt, or almost 5 lbs per person in your family, yeah, it's a *little* weird. In a good way. Anyway, if you each eat 11 ounces a day, it'll be gone in a week.

Yikes, Zina...when you do the math, it really looks crazy! It's mostly because every time I go to TJs I pick up 3 or 4 tubs, and apparently I forgot that I was pretty maxed out already on my last shopping trip.

But we do eat a lot of yogurt around here and (like Mindi) it seems that everyone has to have a separate flavor. Olivia: strawberry; Max: bananna; Isabel: whole-milk vanilla; A & me: plain
The kids eat it straight, and Adam and I use it on granola in the morning, or my favorite is using plain yogurt and pure maple syrup as a topping for our Sunday waffles.

I also use the plain yogurt a decent amount in my cooking--i.e. when I make a curry sauce I'll add a dollup of plain just before serving to give it extra creaminess and to take away some of the heat for the kids. I also like to make a super simple smoothie by using our hand blender to mix in fruit like blueberries, strawberries, or even a ripe bananna (and sprinkle some cinnamon over the top of that one).

So ours isn't really different flavors. I like TJ's Organic Lowfat (Strawberry, Peach, & Raspberry). D likes Lucerne Lowfat (many flavors) from Safeway. Juniper eats TJ's whole milk (vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, banana). And N will eat the same kind as Juniper but lately has been rebeling against it and wants the Danimals drinkable yogurt (strawberry only).
