Trick or treating has no rain delays

If like me you were excitedly waiting for the World Series game 3 on Saturday night (OK this is Adam posting not Jennette in case you're doing a double take) you will have noticed that the Philadelphia was experiencing a pretty good rainstorm which delayed the start by more than an hour. Well there are no rain delays for trick or treating so Max, Olivia, and Jennette braved the elements for quite a while. Here are the soaked skeleton and flapper girl post diluvial.

Isabel (bunny rabbit) and Saul (little lamb or "the golden fleece") did some local treating before hanging out with Dad at home to dish out the goodies and watch a little "Nightmare Before Christmas."

Here's a picture prediluvial with friends from the neighborhood

and from pre-Halloween festivities. As in previous years it takes some serious coaxing to get Max to don any form of a costume. The face painting is his first face painting ever (really). Olivia and Isabel have taken quite naturally to costumes though, Isabel had a complete list of what she wanted to be for Halloween (dog, zebra, bunny, butterfly). Naturally we steered her to the bunny since we already had the costume:

I know J won't be happy with the missing face of the golden fleece, so here's his cute mug. Eat your heart out Argonauts.

We've trick-or-treated in snow before, but I think rain would be worse.

All the costumes are great--Max's face paint is very scary (both pre-flood and post-flood,) the girls are cute and beautiful, and that little lamb is truly a prize worthy of a Herculean task.

Happy Halloween! The kids are so cute and oh! yes scary. Ethan has been wanting his own blog and when it is set up we will email you so that he and Max can follow each others' adventures.

I was really wonderng what costume you would come up with for "doggy-kitty-horsey-bunny" that Isabel wanted to be. Bravo on the "bunny only" costume!

It may have rained, but at least we didn't have to wear coats, right??

Very cute costumes for everyone. And not a single one recycled from last year (like I did). I'm glad the rain didn't spoil everything.

WOW!!!! I had thought that Jennette took up our world series addiction--(really--seriously--let us face it--this year is AMAZING!!!)

But ..more to the point--are those the cutest kids in the world or what????? I try to tell my friends I am not prejudiced..just being truthful..but they just roll their eyes and mutter something about doting grandmas!!

Nice post Adam! Now you have one up on Spencer ;)
Loved the costumes. We would have loved to have you here for the party. Next time you come in town, let's make some eyeballs and party.
Also, Spencer thought it would be cool to dress the family up as the periodic table next Halloween. I'm not convinced though. Miss you!
