MISSING

So, either a robber broke into my house (which wouldn't be very hard considering my suburban security techniques) and stole my bulk-sized box of Oreos.....or I'm totally losing my mind...

But I've TOTALLY, ACTUALLY, literally, LOST MY COOKIES! And I've been looking all week to find them.

I guess this is what Alannis Morrisette would call ironic. See, I grew up on the off-brand Oreos--the ones that Adam's family called "50 cent" cookies, but my family called them (more accurately), "Yuck-o" cookies. And those were pretty much the only kind of store bought treats that we ever had. Even though I can't stomach even one of those cheap alternative brand cookies anymore, it still feels like a total splurge to buy the actual, original Oreos.

So, on one of the few times that I get a big box, apparently I've put it somewhere in the house that was such a good hiding place that I've totally hidden it from myself

....and believe me, I've been looking
....especially when it gets to be like 3:30 in the afternoon
....or 10:30 at night.

Or else, one of my kids has already beat me to finding the box.

I love Oreos. And so does Richard. So, those cookies find their way into our home very, very frequently. I hope you find them soon for your own sanity.

Hope you find your cookies before you lose your marbles.

If this happened at my house, my kids would be the culprits....or my husband. I find it hard to splurge too and so these would be devoured in seconds flat.

Great picture along with your post...
I remember going to a party with a little friend in kindergarten and the two of us taking the box of Oreos from the refreshments table into a closet and eating it all ourselves.

I know where my oreos are, but I think I lost my mind. So, I guess if you had to pick you'd probably pick your mind, right? I guess it depends on what time of day it is and then you probably feel like you have lost both anyway. Good luck.

Whenever I eat a yuck-o cookie I think of you. I really do.

I recently bought some mayo and ketchup. I KNOW I BOUGHT THEM I REMEMBER PUTTING THEM IN THE CART AND BRINGING THEM HOME AND PUTTING THEM AWAY. But maybe I didn't because they aren't in my home. Anywhere.

Last week I discovered homemade cookies and creme ice cream with real oreos. . . and it was really good. I hope you can try it soon too.

Haha! I'm with Lacey. The good stuff is at your house apparently. Hiding, but still there somewhere! :)

Did you maybe leave it in the cart in the grocery store parking lot? I did that with my purse one time (and I'm pretty sure it was when I had a young baby. And no mind.)

Good luck finding it! Even when I tell myself to let it go, it drives me CRAZY when I can't find something.

It's been long enough. I think it's safe to admit.

I ate them.

They were delicious!
