A Very Boomba Memorial Day Weekend

What is The Boomba, you ask? Well, did you ever have a club with your bestest buddies and you decided to give it a name and it was just the coolest thing ever? Only you were, like, nine when that happened so you eventually grew out of it. But some people got older, and when in college and rooming with their bestest buddies, they decided to give themselves a little group name for their apartment (if only to be silly)...but it stuck... or at least it became an easy way to refer to the five guys (except there's only three pictured above, look for a fourth in the photos below) who've maintained a pretty fantastic friendship over the last 13 or so years.

And lucky enough for them (I mean, for me), they each married a fabulous woman.

And then lucky again, they each had kids who generally match up in ages and actually play really well together.

And luckiest of all, 4 of the 5 of us now live within a few hours of eachother so it's not hard to get together.

So this year we went to the Poconos. It was fantastic in every way.

We're already looking forward to next year.

Hey that sounds like a blast! Good friends are the best. In fact, we spent a Thanksgiving in the Poconos with some friends during med school. Beautiful scenery and fun memories!

Anna, everytime I see a post of your outdoor activities in S. Utah or the mountains it kills me that we can't do it with you! Where is our place to have houses with a shared backyard!

Oh, and the Poconos are in NE Pennsylvania. Not much of what you'd call mountains by Western standards, but the best they have in the immediate area. Still, very lovely and it gave me that fresh mountain air fix.
