I admit, I have fantastic friends and I can't help bragging about them. So here are two new blog sites started by some of my dearest friends. Enjoy!
Desperate for a Good Read is a site for anyone who's ever wanted a recommendation for a good book, and for anyone who has ever read a good book that they'd love to recommend to someone else. Most simply, this is collection of books read and recommended by friends, for friends. And best of all, it's open to anyone who wants to join. Just let the site administrator know that you want to post, and voila!, you can. In fact, the more recommendations the better!
Tortillas and Oranges Here's a must-have collection of recipes from a fantastic and inventive and practical cook. Frankly, I'm almost sorry to see this blog begun only because I've been pilfering recipes from this friend and then passing them off as my own for years....and now everyone will be the wiser. But seriously, I'm all for sharing the good news of the good food gospel. Be sure to try the artisan bread recipe--I just tried it last weekend with my second batch started this morning--because you'll die at the results and then never go back to a store-bought baguette again!
